What Not to Do with Your Cologne

Cologne, as most of us would know, is not as strong as its other relatives because it doesn’t have the same high concentration of fragrance and essential oils, roughly around 3-8%. It can also get tricky when it comes to strong a bottle of one or even using it day in and day out. And these pieces of information would really come in handy in case your buyers/customer have questions about the product.

If you are going to use your favorite cologne, be mindful of where you apply it. The thing is, if you’re not putting it on the right place, it will just evaporate along with the scent. A typical teens cologne, like Fiona Cologne, lasts between 4-6 or even 8 hours, and solely depends on where you splash it on. Cologne, like other scents, should be splashed on where there’s a pulse. A pulse will allow heat to interact with the oils in the scent, making it stick to your skin rather than just evaporating. Apply your favorite cologne around the back of your ears, the sides of your neck, your inner arm (the part where the elbow is below of), your wrists, and the back of your knee. It also helps to splash on your clothes before you put them on. Just allow the spot to dry and you’re good.

Though putting on cologne is easy, you should still be mindful of how much you splash on. You don’t want to overpower yourself with the scent as it can be a little overwhelming on the nose and can turn people off instead of on. Instead of smothering yourself with the cologne scent, apply little amounts on each of the points mentioned above. If you have a sister, a mom, or a friend within reach, you may also ask them if you’ve put enough, too less, or too much. If you’ve applied too much, just take a wet wipe and swipe excess cologne away.

You also should not store your favorite cologne thoughtlessly. Since it has less concentration of essential or fragrance oil means it has more diluting solution that easily evaporates when exposed to air or heat. Do not leave the cap open if you’re not using it or allow leaks to spill over. Also, avoid having it sit near direct sunlight since this will lessen the volume of the content.

Little things do matter, and they matter a lot, because big problems can come from the smallest of packages. So take these notes to high regard and you’ll be able to really help your customers.
